Dan Trapp

Founder

A Brit living in France, working Globally. 

A hard-working, high-integrity human leader. 

Dan has a long career in the Sports and Outdoor industries, having worked his way up from the shop floor to the C-Suite of a multi-million euro public company. 

After eight years and several roles, including General manager, in UK-based Ski Speciality and General Sports retailers, Dan decided to jump the fence to start a long career with brands. 

During thirteen years with Columbia Sportswear, he culminated his time as Apparel Sales Manager for Europe, based in the EMEA Head Office in Geneva.

There was then a brief stint as Sales Manager Northern Europe for Hoka One One at Deckers Brands before he joined AMER Sports initially as Global Commercial Director, then as Global Vice President of Salomon Apparel and Gear. 

In 2020 Dan took a break from Sporting Goods and joined the Lifestyle brand Marimekko, where he held the position of Chief Sales Officer.

After almost two years, Dan felt the Sporting Goods and Outdoor industries calling and decided to return, this time with his vision and purpose. 

With a love of recruitment, connecting and supporting people, and problem-solving, he established Trapp Executive Search to build a successful and well-respected business.
